Pro Sales a Hanley Wood Publication/December 2003/In an article entitled "Cashing Out" by John Caulfield concluded that "The market for selling lumberyards has picked up, and creative deals abound as some dealers look to tap the benefits that new owners can offer while others hunt for exit strategies."
Mr. Caulfied's discussions with sellers revealed that the "insulting" offers tendered by buyers only a few years ago have suddenly gotten richer, or at least more in line with what sellers think their companies are worth.
Our Managing Partner, Michael Turner offered "The prospects for selling today are as great, if not greater, than at any time in the last 10 years."
