Michael R. Turner
has over thirty-three years of progressive managerial and financial experience, including corporate development, strategic planning, and profit and loss responsibility in both public and private companies. Prior to forming The JIAN Group, Mr. Turner analyzed and structured acquisitions for McDonough Company, a NYSE conglomerate controlled by Mr. Bernard P. McDonough. Mr. McDonough was an early pioneer in assembling a portfolio of diversified companies without substantial debt and then adding value through management expertise. The company's active expansion plan included holdings in footwear (Edicott Johnson group), building materials, and hand tools. Mr. Turner also worked directly for Mr. McDonough's personal holding company (MARMAC Corporation) in acquiring several building material related companies in Texas and then as president of certain acquisitions requiring management expertise. Mr. Turner was responsible, as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, for analyzing and negotiating the acquisitions of several companies. He maintained continued responsibilities with the acquired companies, including successfully enhancing their value through technology and operational skills. Mr. Turner holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from Marshall University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
